These secateurs are an every day go to choice for pruning  and general cutting back. They are also the secateurs I use all day long for conditioning foliage and woody stemmed flowers in the potting shed as they have a simple direct action, resulting in a clean, efficient cut.  I love the yellow grip as I can always spot them in the garden or the compost heap!
